O Canada!

I am still on Cloud 9 from my family coming to visit us up here in Seattle! I'll probably break this into 2 blog posts, this first one focusing on our 2 day adventure up to Victoria in BC. None of us had ever been and we all loved it. We took the Washington State Ferry early in the AM, and went through Anacortes, WA.

The weather was perfect!

Reunited and it feels so good
Then we headed straight to Butchart Gardens, which we had heard was a must-see. It really was the most glorious collection of gardens! Rose gardens, sunken gardens, Japanese gardens, Italian gardens...see for yourself!

Paul felt right at home in the Japanese gardens

The Sunken Gardens

Did I mention there was gelato involved? Mmmm
The pictures don't really do it justice. That night we wandered around the Inner Harbour, enjoying all the sights.

We loved beautiful British Columbia, and I hope to return someday! Til next time, Canada.

Birthday Boy

This happened a few weeks ago,  but my tardiness should not detract from the significance...On July 5th, Paul turned the big 2-7!

How did he celebrate, you ask? He had the day off since it was right after the 4th of July, and he spent that time changing the oil in the car and running other errands. He is too good. That evening we were finally able to celebrate! Cue photos:

Dinner at our favorite...Old Spag!

And that, my friends, is how you turn twenty seven.
